Make this creamy White Christmas Margarita for your holiday gatherings. This festive cocktail uses coconut and lime for a refreshing, simple winter drink.
0.5 ounce orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Grand Marnier)
0.5 ounce simple syrup
1 ounce coconut water (optional, for thinning)
Coarse salt or shredded coconut for rimming
Lime wheels or fresh cranberries for garnish
Instructions
Prepare your glass by moistening the rim with a lime wedge, then dip the rim into coarse salt or shredded coconut. Set the glass aside.
Combine the silver tequila, fresh lime juice, coconut cream, orange liqueur, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
If you prefer a slightly thinner consistency, add the coconut water now.
Seal the shaker and shake hard until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.
Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a lime wheel or thread a few fresh cranberries onto a cocktail pick for a festive look.
Notes
For an easy holiday batch cocktails pitcher recipe, multiply all liquid ingredients by the number of servings you need. Mix everything except ice in a large pitcher and chill for at least one hour. Pour over ice when serving.
If you want a white chocolate margarita twist, add 0.5 ounce of white chocolate liqueur to the shaker.
For a frozen drink, blend all ingredients with 1 cup of ice per serving until smooth.
