Ingredients
Scale
4 cups frozen watermelon chunks
1/2 cup cold water or coconut water
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/2 cup frozen strawberries (optional)
1/2 frozen banana (optional)
Instructions
Place the frozen watermelon chunks, water or coconut water, and lime juice into your blender.
Add the optional frozen strawberries or banana if you are using them.
Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
Pour the watermelon smoothie immediately into glasses.
Serve right away for the best cold, refreshing texture.
Notes
For a thicker, lower-calorie smoothie, use less liquid.
If you want a sweeter drink, add one teaspoon of maple syrup, but taste first as the watermelon provides natural sweetness.
This recipe is naturally vegan and dairy-free.
For a post-workout boost, add one scoop of your preferred vanilla or unflavored protein powder.
