- 1 (6 ounce) can crab meat, drained and flaked
- 1/2 pound cooked small shrimp, peeled and deveined, chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the drained crab meat, chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, celery, onion, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Stir in 1/2 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese until combined.
- Separate the biscuit dough. Flatten each biscuit slightly.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the shrimp and crab mixture onto one half of each flattened biscuit.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the filling.
- Fold the other half of the biscuit dough over the filling, pressing the edges to seal.
- Place the sealed biscuit melts on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and puffed.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can use fresh crab meat and shrimp instead of canned.
- Ensure the biscuit edges are well-sealed to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.
- If you prefer a crispier topping, you can broil the melts for the last minute of baking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
