Make this creamy seafood salad in about 10 minutes. This no-cook recipe uses imitation crab and shrimp for a refreshing, satisfying meal better than store-bought versions, perfect for lunch or summer gatherings.

  • 1 pound imitation crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the shredded imitation crab and chopped shrimp in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the chopped celery and red onion to the bowl.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and Old Bay seasoning until smooth. This is your best seafood salad dressing.
  4. Pour the dressing over the seafood mixture.
  5. Gently fold all ingredients together until everything is evenly coated. Do not overmix.
  6. Taste the salad and add salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Cover the bowl and chill the seafood salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
  8. Serve cold on lettuce, bread for seafood salad sandwiches, or with crackers.
