Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it is steaming but not boiling.
  2. Add the finely chopped ruby chocolate to the warm milk. Whisk constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. If desired, stir in the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Continue to whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Pour the hot cocoa into mugs.
  5. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
