A quick and easy 90-second microwave mug cake packed with protein and flavor, perfect for a satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 scoop (30g) chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon sweetener (e.g., erythritol, stevia)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 23 tablespoons milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • Optional: Sugar-free chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, combine protein powder, cocoa powder, sweetener, and baking powder. Stir well to combine.
  2. Add peanut butter and 2 tablespoons of milk. Mix until a thick batter forms. If the batter is too thick, add the remaining tablespoon of milk.
  3. Stir in optional chocolate chips if desired.
  4. Microwave on high for 90 seconds, or until the cake is cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave.
  5. Let cool slightly before enjoying.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a good quality chocolate protein powder.
  • Adjust sweetener to your preference.
  • If you don’t have peanut butter, almond butter or cashew butter can be used.
  • This recipe is similar to a Kodiak mug cake but made with your own protein powder.
