A simple Southern dump cake with pecan pie flavor, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 can (21 oz) pecan pie filling
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the pecan pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the pecan pie filling.
  4. Scatter the chopped pecans over the cake mix.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix and pecans.
  6. Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Let the cake cool slightly before serving warm. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
