An easy oven-baked chicken breast recipe with a creamy Parmesan topping that stays tender and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise OR plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast.
  5. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a tangier flavor, use plain Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
  • You can add a pinch of paprika to the topping for color.
  • Ensure chicken breasts are of similar thickness for even cooking.
