You can make this rich and tangy blue cheese dip quickly. It is a crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for serving with wings, vegetables, or chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the crumbled blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper into a medium bowl.
  2. Use a fork or a hand mixer on low speed to combine the ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Do not overmix; you want some small crumbles of blue cheese to remain for texture.
  3. Taste the dip and adjust seasoning if needed. Add a small amount of water or milk if you prefer a thinner consistency for a wing dipping sauce.
  4. Cover the bowl and chill the blue cheese dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.
  5. Serve cold with chicken wings, celery sticks, carrot sticks, potato chips, or crackers.

Notes

  • For a Wingstop Blue Cheese Copycat texture, use a high-quality, creamy mayonnaise and ensure your blue cheese is well-crumbled.
  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for half of the sour cream to make a slightly lighter dip.
  • This dip works well as a topping for burgers or steak.
