Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans, not heated
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning. Mix until smooth. This is your creamy layer.
  2. Spread the refried beans evenly over the bottom of a 9×13 inch serving dish.
  3. Spread the seasoned cream cheese mixture over the layer of refried beans.
  4. Spoon the salsa evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Spread the guacamole over the salsa layer.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the guacamole.
  7. Top with chopped tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions.
  8. Cover the dip and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. This allows the layers to set.
  9. Serve cold with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • You can prepare this dip up to 24 hours ahead of time. Keep it covered in the refrigerator.
  • For a heartier dip, you can add a layer of cooked, seasoned ground beef between the refried beans and the cream cheese layer.
  • If you prefer a less spicy dip, use mild salsa.
