Achieve perfectly crispy, oven-baked cauliflower florets with this simple recipe. Ideal as a healthy snack or side dish.

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure the florets are not overcrowded, as this will steam them instead of crisping them.
  4. If using, sprinkle Parmesan cheese and/or breadcrumbs over the cauliflower.
  5. Roast for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cauliflower is tender and browned with crispy edges.
  6. Serve immediately.
