Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 cups beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
8 ounces dry pasta (like rotini or penne)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons butter
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
Place a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Add the dry pasta to the pot.
Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pot, and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the pasta is cooked through and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Stir in the heavy cream, butter, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce is smooth and creamy, about 2 to 3 minutes. Do not let it boil after adding the cream.
Remove the pot from the heat. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a high protein version, use lean ground beef.
You can substitute the pasta shape, but adjust cooking time slightly if using a very different size.
This recipe is a great option for a quick dinner when you need comfort food fast.
