A quick and easy restaurant-style creamy lemon pasta dish perfect for busy weeknights. This recipe balances bright citrus with a silky Parmesan-cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: cooked chicken or shrimp

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Cook, stirring, until the sauce is smooth and heated through.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat.
  5. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately, with optional chicken or shrimp if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter sauce, use low-fat Greek yogurt.
  • Add cooked chicken or shrimp for a complete meal.
  • Adjust lemon juice and zest to your preference.
