A fast and silky garlic-Parmesan pasta made with pantry staples.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Do not brown.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Add drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce.
  7. Toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
