A rich and satisfying pasta dish combining the popular ‘crack chicken’ flavors with soft gnocchi, perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (16 ounce) package potato gnocchi
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon, crumbled, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Cook until chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add cream cheese and chicken broth, stirring until cream cheese is melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Add cooked chicken back to the skillet.
  5. Add gnocchi to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce. Cook according to package directions, usually about 3-5 minutes, until gnocchi are tender and heated through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and crumbled bacon before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • If you don’t have fresh parsley, dried parsley can be used, but fresh is recommended for best flavor.
  • Ensure your cream cheese is fully softened to prevent lumps in the sauce.
