A creamy and comforting one-dish casserole featuring chicken, bacon, and ranch flavors, perfect for a weeknight family meal. This recipe is designed for easy preparation and can be made ahead.

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 ounces bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 (16 ounce) package pasta (penne or rotini recommended)
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the condensed cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Stir until well combined.
  4. Add the cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, and cooked pasta to the soup mixture. Stir gently to coat everything evenly.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to your preference.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and bubbly.
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a make-ahead option, prepare the casserole up to the baking step, cover, and refrigerate. Bake when ready to serve, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
  • You can substitute potatoes for pasta for a different take on this dish.
