An eye-catching crescent ring filled with sweet cream cheese, tender apples, and caramel, baked until golden and drizzled with icing. This is a perfect dessert for fall gatherings or a special brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped apples (like Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles for each can. Arrange the triangles on the prepared baking sheet, overlapping the wide ends slightly to form a circle.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Scatter the chopped apples over the cream cheese layer. Drizzle 1/4 cup of caramel sauce over the apples.
  6. Bring the pointed ends of the crescent dough triangles towards the center, overlapping them slightly to enclose the filling. Tuck the ends under if needed.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent ring is golden brown and puffed.
  8. While the ring is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until you reach a drizzling consistency.
  9. Let the crescent ring cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  10. Drizzle the icing over the warm ring. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer apple flavor, you can sauté the chopped apples with a pinch of cinnamon before adding them to the ring.
  • Ensure your cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the filling.
  • Adjust the amount of milk in the icing to achieve your desired thickness.
