Make this flavorful Bang Bang Salmon for a fast, satisfying weeknight dinner. Tender salmon fillets cook quickly under the broiler and are coated in a creamy, slightly spicy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for heat preference)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh green onions, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. Rub the fillets with olive oil and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper. Place the salmon on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, lime juice, and garlic powder until the Bang Bang sauce is smooth.
  4. Spoon or brush about two-thirds of the sauce evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Place the baking sheet under the broiler, positioning the rack about 6 inches from the heat source. Broil for 6 to 10 minutes, watching closely, until the salmon is cooked through and the sauce is lightly browned and bubbly. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
  6. Remove the salmon from the oven. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the cooked salmon.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving immediately. Serve this quick salmon recipe over rice or with roasted vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For a crispier texture, you can pan-sear the salmon first until the skin is crisp, then brush with sauce and finish briefly under the broiler.
  • If you prefer less heat, start with just 1/2 tablespoon of sriracha in the sauce.
  • This dish pairs well with white rice or steamed broccoli for a healthy salmon dish.
