A quick and easy dump cake recipe that combines apple pie filling with snickerdoodle cake mix for a delicious fall dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) snickerdoodle cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the apple pie filling evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry snickerdoodle cake mix evenly over the apple pie filling. Do not stir.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  5. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans and ground cinnamon over the top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

  • For a crispier topping, you can bake the cake uncovered.
